Description

Add custom pad printing to your blank tape order!

Choose this item if you want pad printing on audio cassettes. This item includes a high resolution laser-etched metal plate, press setup, and printing on one side of the cassette from your choice of in-stock ink colours. Submit your art file as vector art (Illustrator or Corel Draw). We can also make plates from 1000 or 2400 pixel-per-inch greyscale or monochrome bitmap images. You can find the templates at this link. Please keep your art within the standard print area. Printing beyond the standard print area costs more.

This option will add 1 to 2 weeks to order processing time.

Floods and halftones may require additional work at extra cost. The custom color option will be an approximate match to your specified color. You can send Pantone® Coated color swatch #. Keep in mind that the color changes depending on the base color of the cassette. A white undercoat is available as an option but it could double the cost.

NOTE: We will try to send you a few extra tapes for free. When you do your own dubbing you should expect a small percentage of defects as a normal part of production. We cannot guarantee all your tapes will be good so we will not reprint. If you must have 100 finished tapes then order 110 blanks, and we'll print the overs for no extra cost. Pad printed tapes are not returnable.

How do I upload my files?

Design your artwork files using the template found at the top of this page. If no template is available and it's also not found in our general templates page, please respond to your confirmation order to request a template. We highly recommend using our templates as templates found from other sources may not fit our printing specs.

Some products allow you to design your artwork in the browser. If you see a "Design Online" button next to "Add to Cart", you can design on this page and it will automatically upload your files upon checkout.

For those supplying their own artwork, you will find an upload link on the order confirmation page after payment. You will also find a link in your confirmation email.

Important Design Tips

- We require PRINT-READY files (i.e. no transparency effects, export as PDF/X-1A for printing). Design assistance is available as an additional service.
- Artwork for print must be a resolution of at least 300 pixels per inch and in CMYK, unless noted otherwise in the template.
- All paper print items require a bleed of 1/8" (approx. 3mm) unless noted otherwise.
- Always leave a safety margin of 1/8" from the edge of the paper to important text or visuals - otherwise there is a risk of it getting cut off.
- Place your artwork in a separate layer
