How to Upload

Important Design Tips

We require PRINT-READY files (ie no transparency effects, export as PDF/X-1A for printing).
Artwork for print must be a resolution of at least 300 pixels per inch and in CMYK.
All paper print items require a bleed of 1/8" (approx 3mm) unless noted.
Always leave a safety margin of 1/8" from the edge of the paper to important text or visuals - otherwise there is a risk of it getting cut off.
Note for Photoshop users: When you import a PDF please select 'Crop' to 'Bleed Box'.

Make sure your resolution is set to 300 pixels per inch.
Place your artwork in a separate layer.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL CUSTOMERS: All print packaging orders should include text that reads 'Made in Canada' or 'Manufactured in Canada' on the exterior of the artwork in order to safely cross the border. The country of origin should be declared on the artwork otherwise you run the risk of the package being held at the border or returned to the manufacturer. This is the law in the United States, Canada, and many other countries. Moreoever, any big box retailer will refuse to stock a product that doesn't have a country of origin clearly marked on the package. More information can be read in our blog post. A J-card is shaped like a J with a front, spine, and back flap. Some people have been calling this a "3 panel J-Card"
We use the terms J plus X panels. A JP0 is a J-card. JP1 is a J-card plus one additional panel. A JP5 is a J-card with five additional panels. Click here for a visual glossary.
Our J-Cards are printed full bleed, then creased and folded so the spine sits flat in the case.

A U-card is shaped like a U. The back panel covers the entire back of the cassette case.
You must use cassette boxes which have no hub lock posts, otherwise the U-Cards need die-cutting or punching to make a hole that fits over the posts.
We can punch round holes by request!

Do not use these templates for pad print artwork.
Our cassette labels allow full-bleed printing, meaning you can print a photo background that bleeds off the edges of the label.
Please do not embed the template into your artwork.

Our pad printing offers high resolution printing with opaque inks, allowing you a lot of creative flexibility. We can do reverse fills or fine details (but not really both at the same time). We can also do halftones.
Our pad print machines are capable of 2-colour printing for an extra fee.
Pad print artwork is best sent in vector format. We highly recommend using Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw when designing. A small fee will be required if we need to convert your files from bitmap to vector.

Our O-Cards are printed on 15 point board using digital or offset presses.
We offer a complete range of options like Pantone inks, foils, and matte or gloss lamination. Email us for a quote!

Obi strips are commonly used in Japan for CD and vinyl releases to give the customer extra information not found on the back of the case. Not only were they informative, but they added to the design of the packaging, often incorporating or extending the imagery found in the album artwork.
Printed on 15pt board, in vertical or horizontal formats.

Templates include two variations: one in which the cassette is removed from the left of the slipcase and one from the right. Details and photo examples can be found here.
Slipcases fit over Norelco cases sold by Duplication.com

Maltese Cross Cassette covers with custom printing can be a great alternative to O-Cards or plastic cases.
Our covers are printed full bleed and then die cut for a professional appearance on sturdy 15pt board.
Choose between single sided and double sided print.

Smoking is bad for you, but these cigarette box style slipcases are a great way for your album to stand out at the merch table and online!
Slipcases hold one Norelco cassette case. They are sized for Norelco cases sold by Duplication.com

Trapsheets and inserts for our various cassette albums. Trapsheets can have double-sided printing for the clear albums, or single-sided printing for opaque albums.

Don't forget to extend your art all the way to the edge of the bleed area, and use a safety margin of 1/8" or 3mm.
