Verbatim M DISC™ optical media is the new standard for digital archival storage. Unlike traditional optical media, which utilize dyes that can break down over time, data stored on an M DISC is engraved on a patented inorganic write layer - it will not fade or deteriorate. This unique engraving process renders these archival grade discs practically impervious to environmental exposure, including light, temperature and humidity.

ISO/IEC 16963 standard longevity tests have proven the durability of M DISC technology, and it withstood rigorous testing by the US Department of Defense. Based on ISO/IEC 16963 testing, M DISC media has a projected lifetime of several hundred years.

Verbatim's Music CD-R 25pk spindle is the perfect media solution for consumers to create custom music CDs. Verbatim's Music CD-R discs are designed for use in audio recorders which bear the Compact Disc Digital Audio Recordable logo and can be recorded on by PC-based CD recorders. Once the recorded CD-R is finalized, it can be played back in any CD player. Music CD-R discs provides 80 minutes of audio recording time or 700MB of storage capacity. CD-recordable disks are write-once media meaning, once written, information is permanent and can never be altered. Write speed compatible with 40x CD-recordable drives.

These Verbatim CD-Rs have a blue/green recording dye which offers good compatibility with older and car CD players. They also have great recording quality with the widest variety of CD/DVD recorders. The AZO dye promises up to 100 years of archival life, and have very low data error rates.

These are one-time record discs, ensuring that your movies, video clips or other data will not be erased. LifeSeries discs are available in DVD+R and DVD-R formats. Today, most DVD writers and readers use these discs interchangeably, with no noticeable performance differences. With older units, check your manufacturer’s suggested DVD format to ensure compatibility.
