We’ve remodeled our Clear w/ Grey Liner shells to include Delrin™ rollers and hubs. Delrin™ (AKA polyoxymethylene) is a superior material of plastic, which are not only more durable but allow for less friction. This is an important and often overlooked facet of audio cassette manufacturing, as you want to ensure that the tape will guide smoothly under any machine.

The mold itself is designed for even higher precision. Precision and accuracy affects almost all aspects of cassette playback, as misalignments can cause wow & flutter, drops in audio, and uneven frequency response. In fact, take a look at this wow & flutter test, done by pairing our Clear shells with RTM c60 tape and played on a JVC DD-99 tape deck. A wow & flutter result of under 0.02%! This is the best wow & flutter test we've personally measured, and is impressive.

For the best results, pair with our ultra high-quality RTM tape and real-time duplication, using a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz!
